English Class!

One of my dear amazing epic friends, known as Penguin, is such a wonderfully caring person. She created a whole class, teaching English as a second language for free, for any one in her neighborhood that wants to learn. It's amazing! she's put all the lesson plans together and the class keeps growing. I believe now there's about fifteen students in total.
Penguin is also nice enough to let me volunteer once a week. Since her students are family folks I get to keep an eye on all the kids while their parents learn one of the hardest languages in the world...it truly is. I have such a hard time with it and its the only language that I know.

The other day we all went outside to take advantage of the lovely amazing weather, and I saw a most wonderful sight. At the far end of the play ground stood one of those giant trees with little white blossoms all over. Every time there was a gust of wind, the blossoms would float off in a snowie manner, and as a game the kids were running all over trying to catch the petals. Also I saw some of the little girls pulling the branches lower so as to reach the flowers and dress up each others ponytails.

At first I was thinking of how much like a fairytale the whole scene was, but then it occurred to me how much like heaven that was. That's what Jesus lives for, is to make His children blissfully happy enjoying His creation. I pictured the giant soldier angels posted around the playground making sure the children played undisturbed. And the ones by the trees were shaking the branches and laughing as the kids skittered and dove after the petals.

It was a wonderful day and I'm glad to have been apart of it. Hope this post blessed the reader.

Farewell to Old Reliable!!

Yesterday was the day that I acquired a shiny new car! TA DAAAAA! I'm sooo excited because last Sunday my friends prayed for me that God would get me the perfect car at the perfect price and every thing and it happened! Ha ha ha not that I'm surprised or any thing cause God likes to pamper His princesses with shiny gifts but still I can't get over the fact that it's actually mine.

Its a small little 2005 Suzuki Reno, and as long as I keep my fantastic job that I love so much the car will be paid for in no time.

So one of the epic funny things that happened on our adventure to acquire this speedy bean of a vehicle, because my wonderful Mommy went with me to ensure I didn't buy something stupid, was that after signing all the paper work we actually drove away with out handing over the cash down payment.

Now being a car thief wasn't on the immediate to do list, it was very much an accident (and not on the list at all mind you), and the sales men were very nice and had a no worries attitude. We just put the money back in the bank and did a wire transfer of some kind, because we were already half way home and it was a long drive.

Now as people are asking they tend to tell me that going all the way to Corvallis for a car is silly. It is an hour drive after all. However it was an amazing drive through the country and completely worth it for my new shiny baby.
